I’ve just found one of the first £2 coins (I’ve a money bag full of them somewhere amongst stuff I’m sorting through), having just had a look on the web it seems they are worth anywhere between £25 and £110 each depending on condition, is this correct? If so where would I take them to get them valued?

Some of em could be worth more than face value, as mike says above,  Christopher collects,, i watched a few of his videos and yes they are interesting, some coins where struck with defects, some years are low mintage, these are the ones collectors will pay for, i just recently emptied a tin and put all the commemrative coins to one side and the rest i will go through one day,, its a 1933 (i think) penny you need to find as only about 12 where stamped with that year on and worth about 70 80k,,
