You broke the cardinal rule of landrover ownership..........get squeaks and rattles investigated/ sorted ASAP, or they can become very pricey....

 

no mate youve got that wrong,( ive got six so should know:thumbup:), you need to leave the squeaks and rattles till something breaks or youll be looking forever theres that many of them. preventattive maintenance, not for me:lol:

I'm feelin for ya buddy I managed to kill ma series III that I was gonna turn into an arb van the same day I bought it, slid on some black ice an made friends with a bridge wall, stavin in the front bumper, breakin the leave spring, twistin the front axle an bendin the chasi! The poor thing is in Landy heaven now lol.

Best of luck sortin it out tho :)

Mine hasn't got any rattles, whines, groans or squeaks and it's on a p reg with a 155k under its belt.

 

In the 6 years I've owned it it has once broken down because I repair it as soon as it developes a squeak or noise and use preventative maintenace. I know there is absolutely nothing wrong with my landrover that a paint job wouldn't cure :001_rolleyes:

Haha I know what you mean:001_rolleyes:.....6!! You poor bugger:laugh1:I have had 5, but one at a time is plenty thanks!:lol:

I,m with ya all the way on this one Dean :biggrin: Our landys a 1986 with retro 200tdi and with our maintenance only one break down in 8 years and that was a dead battery :thumbup:

My day to day landy is 1986 too on a d plate, none of this modern diseasal rubbish tho, it's got a proper engine, v8:thumbup: touch wood it's never let me down proper tho I've had plenty of "moments"!!!
