Will you be doing a deal with say 2 or more chains inc del?

The del tend to kill online chains unless you buy a few at once.

Whats the dif between micro chisel & super 20 chisel?

The prices have been done as low as we can go. If you buy 1 or 30 chains the price will be the same and the delivery will remain the same no matter how many you buy.

The micro chisel is a semi chisel and the super 20 is a full chisel. for all the detail if you click the "show details" on the page it will give you a full write up on the chains.:001_smile:

Yes it does have a right up but as both say

chain for professionals

Bumper drive links reduce kickback.

Vibe-BanTM chassis design reduces vibration 25% or more at the handles.

LubrilinkTM tie straps help keep oil where it is needed-on the chain.

LubriwellTM oil holes in bumper drive links help carry oil around the full length of the guide bar's groove.

Top plate witness mark makes accurate sharpening easier.

One is fast cutting & one high performance (is that not the same thing?)

One has a wider cc range than the other.

Both have the same bar size range

But it does not really say which to use when. Which is why I asked.

Hi i saw your post and as i work for Oregon thought i'd reply

Micro chisel is Oregons description for our BPX chain which has small radiused corners and are often described as semi chipper type cutters.

Typical 20BPX, 21BPX and 22BPX chains

Super 20 chisel is a top performing square corner chisel chain, often described as full chisel.

Typical 20LPX, 21LPX and 22LPX chains

Hope this answers your question

Generally a semi chisel will tolerate not being fully sharp better than a full chisel. It also needs less power to run it. So semi is better for felling or cutting stumps etc and if your running a large bar on your saw.

Full chisel for cross cutting and in the tree use is a better chain.

e.g. I have chisel chain on my 25inch 066 bar, but a 30 or 36 inch bar will struggle with full chisel so I have semi chisel to go on that size bar.

Thats how I understand it anyway.

Justin......Just a thought....

Would it be possible on your site to enter the saws and bar lengths that you have, so each time you go to the site you have a list of just the right chains. Click the ones you want and hit order and they just arrive in the post?

A bit like tesco knowing what your favourite purchase are?

I guess it would be more expense and maybe not worth it.

I bought a chain last week from my local, not quite the cheapest around but good, supplier!!

I need a new place! Easy clicks on the computer after work hours would do it for me! I have 9 different saws/bar lengths and would love to one day have a full stock at any time. So if I logged on and it just had my chains 1 -9. I would click what I want. Simples.

I considered buying by the length but I'm convinced I would change chains sooner than necessary and cancel out any savings.
