Once removed the L & H screws can be given a tiny 1/2mm  slot using a Dremel avoiding the problem every time you need to adjust, I've done this many times on cheaper Chinky machines that weren't under warranty.

 

They're always going to need tuned after a bit of running from new and occasionally from time to time.

Thanks - If I don`t come up with the right tool I think this may be the way forward.  Its is under warranty and I`m waiting for the supplier to get back to me.  Thanks

I have ordered this one as my current tool is part of a set from Amazon or Ebay so I have no part number.  I did stress that the tool for the Mk1 did not fit.  I will update when it arrives.  Thanks Paul

530035560 is the old splined adjusting tool, the part no. I gave in a previous post is the correct tool, and to confirm it is still available.

Had this tool delivered today and I can confirm it does not fit the MK2.  At least not my MK2.  It does fit my MK1 though.   Initially I thought the original tool was too larger a diameter and slipped over the splined shafts.  After removing the starter cover and top cover to enable a slightly better look it appears as though the tool is just going over the top of the splined shafts but only by about 0.5mm.  It is not going down the splined shafts and engaging with the splines.  I have been given another part number which I have tracked down a tool and will update when it arrives.  Cheers

I have now looked at a saw, the splined adjuster screws are now larger on the mark 11 435, and also the 445 and 450, the tool part no. I posted is correct for the screws.

I'll order some of the new screwdrivers in. I had a quick look today and managed to adjust the carb using a cheapo ebay screwdriver i night as a set, it is a plain round profile with a little lump on one side. I only had a quick run up of the saw which needed a richen on the high screw.
