Have owned both Mitox and Ryobi budget petrol multi-tools, both start and run reasonably well, particularly if you can run on Aspen or Motomix

we had a ryobi hedge cutter years ago, brought it secondhand (@about 5-6 year old) to get a job done, it took as much abuse as a Stihl, we used it for a couple of years till it gave up

Heavy is good, heavy is reliable. If it doesn't work you can always throw it at them.
