Danger with old rotting cork oak tree near house??

Question

Hello everyone ans thanks for allowing support here,

I would like some advice to know how dangerous the situation in term of tree/branches fall

There is this old cork oak tree which primary branches are growing partly above a house (not referring to the platform on tree). There is a rotting happening at the top of trunk where the 3 primary branches separate, water collect there and and a hole formed inside the trunk that is 30cm deep and getting close to the edge of the trunk.. the rotting occurs as well upward through primary branches though not as strong. Even higher on tree at another water collection point a rot started.

I guess this tree can't be saved? I can't tell if the colors on bark are sign of fungal infection. It lost leaves like other cork oak trees around due to more severy drought recently. Drilling a hole to evacuate the water and care of the hole would not be enough i suppose. Maybe it just hold for now thanks to the platform and rope above it..

Any advice?

🙏

Jeremy
