The sodium hypochlorite is cheap from any agricultural shop, it's used for washing down milking parlours.

20litres is like £20, removes practically everything organic from paving and brickwork etc, water it down heavily tho as it's bleach on steroids.

I'll look into that, thanks, kind of didn't want to fill the soak away with chemicals but I suppose if it's every 5 years or so it shouldn't be that bad.

Thanks for the reply. Agree with the cheap sealer, I have often heard that it is terrible.

I have a aco gulley drain across my drive and any washed out sand will just end up clogging my soak away. That's the main reason I don't want to pressure wash.

With regards to the Aco drains alls you need to do is pressure wash say a 1/3rd of the driveway then have a sweep with a stiff brush and get all the excess sand then say 2/3 repeat then on the last part pressure wash away from the acos have a sweep up then just mist all over with the pressure washer you’ll always get a bit of silt in the acos but give them a rinse with the pressure washer that’s how I do it and never had any problems it’s time consuming but saves any hearthache further down the line

Where does one get the decent Patio sealer?  My patio comes up lovely and clean, but within a week or two it is green again.

It isn’t cheap but I always use sika says it lasts 12 months but normally lasts 3-4 years and I’m right on the sea front so that’s with a lot of salt aswell
