I spent two years trying to get stickers for my milled boards. (I tried a number of different things, such as cutting up pallets and using the boards, but that was a lot of hassle) I got help from a friend who ran me off about 100 last year, they soon went. I have a local mill to me, I asked them if they could sell me some bulk lots. They wanted £1.40 per metre for stickers.

I decided in the end to make some 1inch pine boards with my chainsaw mill and then cut 1" strips with a skill saw. Bit of work. With a table saw, life would be even better. Might invest in a small one soon.

But being able to make your own stickers makes everything worth while. I now just make my own and sticker away. But buying a bandsaw mill would certainly be the most efficient option. 👍

Ouch! £1.40 per m is pretty spicy.

The last lot we sold out to others worked out at 65p each for 4ft long 1 x 0.75in. I suppose that was fresh sawn, mind. But they don't take long to dry off.

I quite like doing them, which I know goes against the grain for most people :D

Happy to bang them on a pallet if anyone needs them who isn't in the South East.

Nice! Looks like great work you do over there. I will have to come and visit some time. 👍

Thanks dude. We do bigger trade orders, and have just started monthly open days at the workshop for dry timber and hobby boards. Next one is Friday and Saturday 24th and 25th Feb.
