Helicopters, countys and new holland

Hi guys, some friends have just finished a contract in plymouth.

They hired in a helicopter to lift the timber out due to access issues.

thought you might like to see a couple of pics.

they only lifted 800kgs at a time but the turn around time from fell site to process site was one and a half minutes!!

busy boys indeed.

yes jon it was Devon tree services. i didnt take the pictures as i couldnt get down there. did you see it at all?

Matt was on the tractor and was only just about keeping up apparantly.

 

Dont they get all the sweet jobs!?

 

Was it them who had that huuuuge crane to take some trees down on a cliff?

Yeah, I honestly can't say the crane feeding the chipper seemed to work that well - when it did get the material in it was gone very fast but aiming the frithy stuff into the hopper aint easy. I hung around for 10 mins hoping the chopper would come back but must have downed for dinner! I heard rumours of some of the prices quoted for that job - no comment!!!

 

Was told Crownhill Fort / Council wanted 30m Pub lib for the job, er...

 

Now I've said it!
