Yeah they are 6month old SIPs, look absolutely shredded, wouldnt catch me in those that for sure. Fire is a lot hotterr than it looks there, larch isnt the best for cooking over:001_rolleyes: though it did a nice job of the naans. Thinking of maybe a nice chilli for tomorrow given th temperature is still on the low side. Bacon is getting a little tedious these days, though we did have some Cumberland sausages the other day too!

Dean, do you just dump the chips ? Here in Belgium woodchips are used as biofuel in powerplants etc.

Any crap is dumped over or spread on the floor but 90% is tipped on my chip pile then every weekend loads of people turn up filling plastic bags and vans with wood chip to use on thier gardens. I've never had to get rid of any, it just magically disappears

 

I'm making my next chip tip with a concrete base to keep it dry and clean and will then start to sell it

Allright !! I often sell the chips on the way home, I keep a list of people that want them. It is easy to come home with an empty trailer

Or I dump them at my brothers place, he is a florist and has a biofuel furnace. When it is freezing cold like now he needs about 3 to 4 m3 per day
