Flue thermostats and fan speeds

My flue stat never shows more than 90 degrees?

nowhere near the desired range?

have a probe thermostat and glass is a lot hotter but does coincide the cheap magnetic flue stat

so fan not spinning very fast although the top is only slightly lower than flue?

 

ideas?

Nope, wood is bone dry

I have a separate good quality temperature sensor and it agrees with the cheap thermostat 🤷🏼‍♂️

Could there be a lining of soot in the flue insulating it?

They do sell Pelter heat fans that run at lower temperatures, they normally work above 110c.

 

Is it a new stove and what's the surface temperature, as for example an ecofan 806 runs starts to run 75c.
