Uprating Hilux weight capacity?

As the title suggests, is this something that can be done? I’m looking at getting a mk6 hilux as a tipper conversion, and noticed the max overall weight of the truck is fairly low. I know you can uprate newer trucks to 3.5t, but I wasn’t sure about the older ones (for ref the mk6 is approx 2010 age) 

Anyone out there in the know?

pretty sure overland in tadley would upgrade the springs for you to take 3.5t

I’ve just had a look, nice looking conversions! I’m not sure if the upgrade is valid for the older trucks? Will give them a call👍

Try svtech don’t have number specialise in up rating it needs more than just uprating the springs to be legal and therefore insured

good point, after mine was finished they sent me a new plate with the new weights on to show it can take 3.5t
