This isn't something I've had to do so there is no doubt a correct procedure probably requiring a special tool. But, if you're stuck and need it sorting quick you could get an old chain, preferably a blunt one and wrap it around the sprocket. Hopefully you can get it to jam up and undue the torx, a decent pair of leather gloves to protect your hands from the chain would be handy.

I've done this in the past on other brands of machine.

As much as I hate to say it, but you clamp the sprocket with a pair of grips to slacken the t27 screw, there was some talk of a tool to hold it but that seems to have not materialised, however behind here is only the pump drive gear, to access the pump you need to split the machine and remove the motor, the pump is housed here, the delivery pipe does take a sharp bend and can collapse stopping oil delivery.

I resorted to grips in the end only to find out what you have said above. The pump is accessed from the other side. it looked like more of a faff than I was up for last night so will set to it another night.

I shall check for bends in the pipe before getting a new pump.

Thanks

There will be nothing wrong with the pump, it is similar to the 346/357 pump, so if the drive gear behind the sprocket is ok, then I would be pretty sure the pipe has kinked, it really does take a tight bend to the bar pad, the securing screws for the motor are behind the sprocket so it will have to com off.
