Predator 460 engine swap

A mate of mine has had the kohler ch740  engine go bang big time on his predator 460 hybrid.

The kohler engine is a 455 day lead time from our normal supplier (unipower dunmow), if anyone has any suggestions for suppliers please let me know!

Or has one lying around 😅

Alternatively,  has anyone fitted a different engine to one of these machines? Thanks.

What hp is that replacement engine and how much did it cost?
might need a replacement for a kohler 27 hp but can’t tell until it’s been properly looked at

thanks

This is a screenshot of the Facebook advert we got it from, 29.5hp according to google👍

It was new but  secondhand so I don't know the retail price of one.

Physically mounting it wasn't too difficult, I think they just had to put a little crossbar under one side. Wiring wasn't too difficult in the end apparently, although a wiring diagram would have helped as there are safety cut outs etc but I think a bit of patient tracing got it sorted 👍
