Got a speck in my eye this afternoon. Eye cup didn't work. Wife couldn't find it. At my wits end, I could feel it rattling around under the upper lid. Filled one of these with warm water, grabbed the lash and pulled the lid away from the eyeball, and squirted the contents upward into the gap between eyeball and lid, over the basin. Had to do it three times, third time it worked!

Will have one in the first aid kit in the van from now on.

I have also tried pulling the top eye lid over the bottom one and let the bottom eye lashes brush the dirt away if it is on the inside of the top eye lid

My old Mum taught me that one in 1957 . 🙂
