Bought it in small chunks. But in fairness the 92cc saw I got from Rob D does a great job milling. Just can’t mill up big oaks with a 48” bar. Got 3 or 4 oaks down in our woodlands which will need milling up.

Yes, would recommend. It is a monster milling saw. Far better than my 661. Made it redundant effectively.

 

Plenty of other things to say though....

It has a different bar setup than any other Stihl saw so you won't be swapping between a 461 / 661 or anything. More bars/chains...Expense.

Run it on Motomix / Aspen for longer life,? I do but it is more expense. 

 

Worth it? depends on how much you plan to do with it....

It is a great saw, I am a Husky fan but I have no problems recommending this, simply stunning. Running the Granberg Milling chains on my 36" bar.
