Question
MattHatt
Hi,
I have an overgrown tree in the garden. I'm not sure of the type (came up as plum on an image recognition app but has never fruited) it is but it looks like it has undergone some kind of pollarding/coppicing at some point. Not sure if this is the correct term but hopefully you can see from the picture what I mean. Can I trim the tree right down to this point again and is it ok to do this at this time of year (late winter UK)?
These are the leaves
Thanks in advance for any help.
Matt
