does anyone know where i can get an identification chart for fungal infection on trees, or better still a poster with pictures.

Best thing is to get a good fungi book and start from there.Some books have dicotomus keys in..just get into a good book and go out look at fungi,smell,touch open them up and learn like that.

We have the second one in both of our work trucks just so we can identify the fungi. Judging by the size of the fruiting body, we decide wot is the best plan of action for the tree. Whether it be monitor each year, reduce, pollard or full removal.

You base your appraisal of tree condition based on size of fruit body?

 

this method is wholey unreliable.
