Hello!

My husband has an issue with jonsered 630. Does anyone know how to put chain brake parts back together.  He put it together once but it seems that the handle brakes in wrong direction.

Is there a manual or something or a picture?

Sorry my bad english 🙈

I won’t kid you, they are not easy, all the components have to be held together, then slid down into the cover, there are two roll pins that hold it together in the cover and create a pivot for the hand guard, there used to be a special tool to aid guiding the roll pins in, this style brake was also fitted to the Partner machines, the 630 was based around the Husqvarna 162, the later machine had a plastic hand guard and knee link design.

I really do not understand how it can work backwards, I do not want to seem unkind, but this is an important safety component, and fair play you have had a go at repairing it, but now is the time to have it looked at properly, or replace it.
