Actualy both me and monkey have already discussed it and we are definatley coming up for a dedicated bat tour with yourself. I think you have a great deal to share and were looking forward to learning and sharing YOUR side of our world when the weather warms up and they is buzzing about:thumbup1:

 

You just sort the time and the place with our monkey and we will be there, perhaps a weekender to take it all in, up on a friday say.

this is an old paper now, but from the looks of some of the posts this level of understanding and appreciation for the co creation and interdependency of the tree and its fungal associations has been largely ignored.

 

This is one of the most important papers on the path to enlightenment, please take the time to appreciate its depth and breadth.

Ive got some photos of the failure, i will add them later, fungal colonisation wieght and summer branch all played their part here.

 

Really i am pleased, these small failures are literaly self pollarding in action and the tree is doing fine. This group of trees are neglected, in a "secret garden" a pocket of trees hidden away in a place that should seem obvious but gets ignored. some fantastic vets in this little acre of woodland.

 

I will do another vid of a remarkable vet on the site at the weekend when i go back to record the rest for the ATF.

It always makes me laugh when people talk about pollarding as some unatural thing, when in reality it is a natural proscess of the aged tree, without this proscess trees couldnt become the ancients:thumbup1:
