Im in the market for a 4.5ton digger flail head.  I have a Hitachi ex45-2, spec sheet says 88lpm but thinks shes down on lpm as getting old now.  Its for my own use in a woodland for light ground clearance eg brambles, balsam & brash.  plus a bit of headge cutting.  I understand the limitations & potential.  Will only be used a few hrs a month.  Can anyone reccomend a model & supplier?  also what size head would people suggest?  thanks in advance.

Anyone used a JB C4 A100 head.  These are in stock and seem reasonable @ £2690 + vat includes custom head, hammer flail, self leveler & hoses.  I was initially looking at approved hydraulics Femec T5 105 with hammers however 3 week lead time @ £3211 plus head @ £200 and no self leveler (additional £300).  The Robustrack I believe is a Femec and same price & setup as Approved Hydraulics.

Its only really to be used by myself on flat woodland light brash & small amounts of banking grass.  Is a self leveler a good option?  Also is it better without a roller so can swing in both direction?

There’s a bloke on another thread here recently having problems with one.
