Will 2 bulk bags of logs fit into a Defender HiCap bed?

Check the wait limits on your vehicle. I almost fill two 0.9cm cubed bags when I go to woodland but don't fill the second bag up completely as they both must weigh about 450kg-500kg as wet weight and the weight limit is 550kg in my Mazda estate. Don't know if the weight includes the driver so that is why I don't completely fill the second bag.

Due to the way the bags bulge they are greater than their stated dimensions.
110 hi-cap would need the tailboard down to fit 2.

If not already bagged, you could just greedy board the back to get the volume in. Fairly sure our old hi-cap was a similar length to the tractor bucket.

We've only one customer we couldn't get our 130 and 12' trailer into, so borrowed a 90 until they moved. Occasionally have some we have to unhitch trailer to get out.

Could be worth bearing in mind whether Scotland will introduce any wood burning standards too as this may influence the volume you want to carry.

Friend has just reminded me that I managed to wedge 2 bulk bags of firewood in his regular 110 pickup with the tailboard up, but it's not something he wants to repeat emoji1.png

That would be tight, put 2 in my 130 tippet the other day and only had a foot gap at front and it's got a 8 ft bed.

I'm a bit late seeing this, but wouldn't it be better to get a hicap or normal pickup, lose the bed (neither of which are ideal for logs) and build a custom dropside bed on it?

Might cost a bit more, but fairly simple to do and worth it in the long run.

There's a chap local to me who has a 130, with a little hiab behind the cab and then andropside  bed that takes 2 builders bags.
