The PETZL SPATHA KNIFE, it can be clipped through its pivot point into a Karabiner. The knife can be opened one handed, and will not slip closed in use. The 3" stainless steel blade has a gently curved edge for cutting line, and will resist corrosion. Every climber working with ropes should carry one! The orange one has serrated blade makes cutting rope easy. On a toy krab weighs next to nothing, and costs less than £15. Mine has been on harness at least 2 years now.

The knife can be opened one handed, and will not slip closed in use.

 

Don't get me worng. I've got these knives and I love them. But:-

 

They are not easy to open one handed. In fact they're quite difficult.

 

They will slip closed in use as they do not have a locking mechanism.

 

Still, that little serrated orange one is one of my faves
