Hi I am a landscaper and cut hedges nearly all year round I have a Hendon 12 ft ladder but it’s not safe on every job I’m looking for a nice cherrypicker that can travel on grass and will fit into a 3.5 ton plant trailer looking for your advice thanks in advance

Probably small  tracked units are most versatile.
I would hire a few different machines and see what works best for you before committing.

for us , a set of ground mats was a huge advance, both for getting mewp in and getting truck/chipper closer to the trimmings

As said hire and try before you buy. There are quite a lot of small MEWP's out there something 12m or 14m should do most hedges and have reach to go over flower beds.
