its good to dip your toe in the water.... just make sure you can swim:thumbup1:

This wasn`t the way that I initially intended to do firewood .. it was going to be nets with a customer base of 300 but that has hit a snag but I am working on it from home at the moment so very few overheads ... and its far less stressful to what I was doing before and working with a product with no sell by date that matures with age ... I love it

Your operations looking good. I was not going to start selling till next winter but I think I might dip my toe into the water to increase the learning curve.

Its worth dipping your toe. I have customers starting to order firewood now for delivery late February for use next winter. At least one of them is having it in net sacks, as he dosn't want to muck about with looose logs.

Hope goes well

Site looks good sam. I started on 15 mile free delivery, but was sujested by people on here to only go to 10 miles free delivery, which i have found is about right, after that i charge £1.20 a mile, especially as your min order is only £25.00 thats a 30 mile round trip and sometimes up to a hour with traffic etc, Mike

Miley10, this might even be your website, i kept a note of it when you were asking questions because i thought it was a very effective site and could point me in the right direction when i am doing up mine.

Firewood, logs, kindling - MSM Firewood, Henley, Langport, Somerset

samtheman365, as you said in the original post a few more pictures would be good. I like the one of the door of the truck. It gives the impression that your serious about the job if you have gone to the effort of signwriting the truck.

what i was thinking was get a photo of each of the delivery options ie: a cube tipped up in the yard and half a cube so if someone comes on asking how many logs are in half a cube you can tell them look at the website and thay have a picture.

Other than that its looking good.

Best of luck
