can anyone run a serial number for me?

I think that serial number is wrong, there’s a few reasons.

not enough digits, not starting with a 1,2 or 3 and if you look closer at the ipl I linked to, it’s the same as the file on the page spud linked to.

where stihl make revisions on models they state the serial number from.... look at that info in the pdf and put two and two together it don’t make four.

 

I bet if you split the crankcase all will be revealed 😉 as I’m sure your unaware there is a serial stamped on the case between the gasket 🤫

Aye pulls easy! That shouldn't bugger the saw with increased compression?

No, as soon as you start the saw, it will burn off very quickly and the saw will be much easier to pull over after that.

All the oil is doing is seeping around the rings and piston making it seal extremely well rather than allowing a bit of leakage as it will do once burnt off.
