:lol:I was in a similar situation to you except i had signed and completed the sale on my new house and barclays pulled out the day before the move:sneaky2:. So when i was sorted i took all my savings the lot from them! even cancelled barclaycard i hate the name!!!! Oh and was employed at the time, still trying to get money back off them 8 months later thro ombudsman. Wish someone had told me in school to be a banker!

i think all the banks should be made to pay the nationl debt off ,out off acess & greedy profits .along with bonuses , put all that in to the pot lets see how much were being shafted for ,& top it of with mps expences ,

havent read all of this so apologies if this is a recap.

make your sister, mate, loved one a company director. put yourself on the board as a junior member or lower empoyee, bobs your uncle your employed, not self employed.

you'll need a good accountant or a business adviser which will cost but its worth it if your talking mortgages.

i had no trouble getting my mortgage this way, infact the bank never liked me so much when i stopped being classed as a self employed 'gardener' ( the only job description on their system' ) and started being known as a 'professional' !

a case of more bloody red tape, paperchase and hoops to jump.

i've hit most of the same walls, but there are MO out there for self employed, you just need 25% deposit and to pay the £7.5K arrangment fee!
