Individual rings of MP can be desirable / valuable to woodturners if they include the knots ... I have seen a supplier asking £50 a ring which is excessive !!  I turn it when green / moist not dry ( hard work and dusty )   can produce good results ...see pic ( approx 15" dia )

Thanks for your reply. I’ve been told by a local wood turner that considering it’s so large it won’t dry for around 2 years but that wood turners will need it dry and not green! If you would like any of it or know anyone who would I’d be grateful if you could let me know! (BTW your bowl/vase is beautiful!)

@Puzzle Monkey don't give up. My experience is that every user of the timber has a unique opinion on the stuff! Some want it dry, some want it green.  Keep asking around.  Most don't want rings with knots bigger than 12-14" as the majority of hobbyist lathes can't manage anything bigger.
