Tip Of The Day

There is emulsified oil on the oil filler cap, no signs of water in the oil on the dipstick.

She's been sitting for 4 days now and the mechanic is stripping it down tomorrow.

I'm hoping it's just the head gasket and the head isn't cracked.

However there has never been signs of emulsified oil inside the oil filler cap before.

Fingers crossed and apologises for de-railing the thread !

Is she fixed?

I used to think that, but there was a Dr on the radio the other day who said we don't need any more salt than is naturaly in our food and our sweat only has salt in it as we eat to much salt.

We did an experiment to prove we need salt intake.

It was a ten mile bash with full kit normally 60 or 70lb back pack. Red hot day. Some had salt intake before and during and other didn't have anything.

Cramps were abundant in the non salt intake bunch.

I think salt intake nowadays with fast food etc is too much, but is ok if you have an arduous, physical job, where you have a lot of fluid loss / intake.

In your case Dave, you shouldn't need too much salt, better reduce your intake. :fisheye:

Unless of course you do some more footlocking
