Finding tools for pond/loch clearance

Good evening everyone,

Does anyone on here do reed pulling or know anyone that does reed pulling. It's just that I've got a reed pulling job coming up in the next few weeks and could possibly do with a chrome. If anyone is wondering what I'm going on about it looks like a really long handled fork with the prongs bent over at 90 degrees. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

In Scotland, we'll atleast locally called a hawk.

In old days used with a rutter/rutting spade for clearing ditches by hand .

 

Done similar jobs before and ur often as quick just pulling them by hand  ( depending on the species) so buy a pair off waterproof guantlets and throw them in a pile to make a big raft and pull that in with hawk or take or even a rope tied round raft.

I'd already sorted out the gloves, it was just the chrome that I was after as more work is potentially coming after this.

Got one of thoose forks  for lvling the compost heap never though what it was called interesting.

 

Seem no one sells rutter spades anymore  in uk anyway.....

 

Use this trenching spade to plant  spuds might be good for clearing ditches
