Arborflex chainsaw trousers

I've just started using the new Arborflex trousers with the orange reflective skins. At first i was unsure how the skins would attach to the base layer. I thought it was going to be a ball-ache having to put chainsaw protection on followed by a over skin but i'm impressed with how easy it is to attach the outer skin to the base layer. its just four buttons that attach to the outer skin. I'm currently using the orange reflective skins which are surprisingly breathable and light for a waterproof trouser. if you've wore waterproof trousers over chainsaw trousers then you know this is the worse possible idea you can make! 

Our main clients are councils and highways who require full reflective PPE so to have a chainsaw trouser that is fully reflective and waterproof is a bonus. If you work on railways, highways or sites that require full viability clothing then these trouser are a must. The company I work for specialises in tree work however, we do grass cutting and general maintenance for local authorises-  the beauty of these trousers are that you can remove the base layer and wear the outer skin as a work trouser. 

 

I've only had these trousers for just over a month and they seem very tough. When it comes to work trousers I do put them to the test and so far i'm really impressed- not a single nic or tear! i can honestly say these are the future. The fact you can swap the skins is a great idea and there are some nice looking skins for these trousers. I have so many old chainsaw trousers that are destroyed but the inside (base layer) is perfectly fine.  

 

The Mrs loves these trousers- before entering the house I have to remove the skin, shake well and in return i get a peaceful life without the Dyson following me around. 

They seem expensive for the initial set up but I am adamant that these trousers are going to last longer than any other trouser I have owned and once the skin is beyond repair, its just a case of replacing the skin, which in the long run will work out cost efficient. 

 

I will honestly say that these are the best trousers on the market. You pay for quality and quality is what you get!

Old topic. But does anyone know if I can buy a base layer, and just wear jeans over the top of them? Sick of ripping chainsaw trousers to bits and needing a new pair every 4-6 months.

No sure but dont see why not but might be very hot in summer?

 

Theres some englbert denim ones dunno if they are   any thougher might be worth a try?

Currently using them… not that long lasting. 
 

Was just being tight, would be cool to use the skins and just ruin cheap jeans from Matalan every couple weeks. 
 

Always blowing the arse out of trousers and ripping them on branches when snedding etc.

I don't think doubling up on layers is going to solve that problem!  A change of diet or gaviscon may be solution you're looking for

I'm  not entirely sure you know MY wife there fella,  sandwiches are OK  but does fantastic gravy,- think you may be confusing me with another arbtalker. This could be the start of a really,  really bad dispute😆💥
