UK Manufactured Log Bags

Can anyone recommend a UK manufacturer of bulk bag size ventilated log bags.  There are loads of resellers to choose from but I'm really interested in finding a decent and good value UK manufacturer rather than just buying the cheapest bags imported from wherever.

Dickson have a factory in Glasgow where they make bulk bags.

They may or may not make some stuff abroad too?

When we inquired about bulk bags from Sackmaker they said they don't make one ton bulk bag size bags in the UK, only smaller bags.

All - just to clarify - we do still manufacture bulk bags at our factory in Glasgow all shapes & sizes but they tend to be for higher value products as the cost is roughly 3 times higher than importing them, so we tend not to make  standard "builder" type bags here & just import / hold them in stock.

We also manufacture & print smaller sizes of woven bags with lifting handles etc

 

We have standard range of Nets WPP sacks Barrow Bags & Bulk bags in stock suitable for Logs & Kindling visit www.log-bags.co.uk, call/ email or buy online at www.sackmarket.co.uk

 

In addition to the more expensive pallet sized 1m3 bag with the mesh/vented sides, we also have 2 new sizes of bulk log bags arriving this Autumn which are made from 100% vented fabric which is cheaper than using expensive mesh. These will be 100x100x100cm (1m3) & 85x85x85cm (0.6m3) with 4 lifting loops & a central tipping loop on 2 sides of the base.

 

Happy to stock other sizes if there is sufficient demand & also import special sizes to order pre printed if required - minimum normally around 500 & lead time 12 to 14 weeks. Contact [email protected] or speak to the sales team on 0800 032 6447 they will be happy to give you prices.

Have you looked at doing colored builders bags (non vent) as standard from stock?

 

Think I've seen some places doing black

 

MCA Kingtsone do some nice looking green ones but the cost of delivery to the Highlands is the killer

We can do colours if there is enough demand - they don't cost much more but the mills have a minimum order of 2000 so at the moment we really only import them for builders merchants that specify them in a colour (normally pre printed)

 

We are based in Glasgow so I get the Highlands surcharge thing - our prices are delivered UK mainland, we only charge a bit extra to the Islands or Ireland
