A common fix these days with the likes of the 017/018/021/023/025 etc is to replace with a cheap chinese version of the pump, they tend to wear quick and leak from their bodies considerably more than a genuine one does once worn whilst working under pressure. Spuds theory is best, try a little pressure and check your area for leakage.

It appears that the o ring between the pump and plastic fitting is worn, mainly down to the casing damage, I'll get a cheap kit, bung up the hole with resin, for a fiver if it lasts a year all's good, thanks for the input.

If you look at the bottom of the pic, the brass colour is the worn away pump, below it is the black o ring on the oil connector, there is a small gap between the connector and pump. That's where its leaking from. As the main case is worn through a new pump and connector will not fix the leak.
