Been climbing for 5 years now and always looking for new experiences and working abroad has always been something I’d be interested to try, even if it’s just for a 3-6 month period, has anyone got any opinions in what country would be best to look in??

I worked around the northern beaches,  avalon, palm Beach, pittwater etc.

Back in the mid 90s I was first getting 100 dollars pr day which after 4 weeks doubled to 200. Just being a groundy.

I loved the outlook they had,the wildlife and found them more on my level,

Also never ever worked later than 3pm

If ozzys like you and your a laugh I found they treated you like a lifetime best friend straight away.  If they didn't like you, you've had it.

No sorry,  was a while ago now.

I remember I contacted as many companies at the time looking for work in the area I wanted to work around.  nearly all of em said yes. Due to the lack of people wanting to work?

Sydney and the northern beaches are definitely the best, did work in Perth for a bit just to have a look and an adventure but Sydney the best..

I liked it so much I overstayed my yrs working visa by 3yrs then got deported.

We emigrated out to Sydney last October and the guy I contract to lives in the northern suburbs and most of our work is around there and the northern beaches, it’s amazing. You can earn anything between $300-400 on the ground per day or climbing $500-$650 a day and a little more if your s**t hot. We generally start around 7:30-7:45am and can be finished buy 10am or around lunchtime, can’t argue with that.

Dampener, i went to Melbourne when our kid married an Australian lass, Box Hill was the town, I had a chance of working (under the radar) and passed it up. Take from that what you will.

Hi Alex.
I used to work for Craig tree services from avalon,  but lived on Scotland island pittwater.

There is hundreds of companies all over the northern suburbs but I’ve worked around Scotland island, nightmare gardens can’t really get cranes close enough but a stunning place
