Converting 880 to run 3/8

As above, does anyone have the part numbers of what I need to order please to convert 880 to run 3/8 bar and chain etc

He does all the bars also as there is a mount size to take into consideration also spacing out as 7 tooth 404 is around same size as 8 tooth 3/8 but you have to watch how far bar comes back onto clutch drum. But he will know the figures

It's easy.
Put a 3/8 rim sprocket on.
Done.
(With the duromatic bar).
Just need to work out how many drive links...

am i right in saying that i'll be able to run 3/8 chains but not the same bars as i do on 660 etc?

 

or are those adaptor available that'll allow me to do it?

Yep 660 bar wont fit on an 880, but an 880 bar will fit on a 660 with an adaptor. Unless you machine the 660 bar mounting slot out, 12mm to 14mm IIRC

Not happening/don't do it.
3002 mount (880) bars are considerably larger than 3/8.
Stick with .404 on the 880.

just hate sharpening those things
