Understood, however trees don’t know if they’re in a forestry setting or at the bottom of a garden.

My point (if there is one) is that a conifer like that will die off in a year or two (or three) after root damage, whilst a oak/beech or whatever will indeed struggle and then, possibly, turn up it’s toes (literally)

This job started as one fir hitting the deck then a few weeks later a couple of others did, purely due to new wind forces, similar aged trees I imagine as the OPs, 40/50/60 max. Client ended up removing a dozen or so, garden/park setting.

Sounds uncannily similar scenario Mick. I’ll post a bit more detail when I can do more than 1 action before page freezes!

No, but you explained what had happened in your original post; development amongst trees, no account taken of trees, 10 to 12 years later trees now a problem and included a few pictures showing the proximity of the trees to the buildings.

Your request for information on PD was answered and the thread moved on to the consequences of development next to trees, and the timescales for the consequences to manifest themselves in light of Mick's comment, that after 10 years the danger should have passed.

Possible my intended humour didn’t come across well in the post Ed. Your post was much appreciated and what I meant to portray was that it was as if you had actually been there. Apol’s if I didn’t make that clear. ??
