my last adver cost £130, i have sold approx £180 worth of logs in 4 weeks from that advert, not much, but hopefully these customers will want the same monthly from now on..i have also done £150 stickers that got me an instant £3900 from sitting in a car park at break time. you have to market your customers then advertise to them.

personally i think thats the way forward , i was advertising in the thompson local but to be honest i found it a total waste of time and got sick of the "are you ready for so much more work" type phrase's that you get from the salesman etc , local papres work quite well for both log sales and advertising your services but a well sign written vehicle goes a long long way .

when we had the housing boom i was really tempted to have signs made like the for sale signs you see outside houses and put them up where ever i had been workin (with the customers permision) but never did it !!

Yer that would probably been pretty good but you may get people who are not actully looking to buy a house so they probably would just glance at the sign thinking it was a house for sale and not advertising yourself.

i i might try the free paper for a couple of weeks and just see how we get on because i suppose you dont know until you try it.

we have had a few flyers made for the local country shops but as you probably know there isnt many about now the mojority have closed down.

thanks for your help
