Ash Tree Trunk available

We have just had an ash tree felled and want to have the trunk removed.  The length of the trunk is approx 3.5 metres and the diameter along the whole length is approx 90cm.  The trunk is fairly easily accessible from our drive.  We live in Leicestershire between Market Harborough and Lutterworth.  The tree was felled on Friday 18th October.

Our arborist simply felled the tree so that all of the wood could be used in the village to provide funds for our children's playing field.  We hope that someone will be interested in the wood from the trunk and that they will be able to make a donation to this cause.

All advice welcomed, either reply to this post or email [email protected], and I can provide further contact details and photos as necessary.

Unfortunately I don’t have a use for the timber and it is too big for me to cut into fuel for a wood burner.

I was hoping that someone would like the trunk and would be able to collect it for no cost.

Ideally, assuming the collector has an outlet for the cut timber, I would appreciate a donation towards the maintenance of our village playing fields.
