Cedar makes great kindling & brill fire wood too. When using it as firewood you dont need any kindling as it lights so easy.

If its cut & split it will dry to less than 20% in less than 6 months.

you are so right there mate, i split it all back in febuary, then we had a really warm spell in may, it was bone dry by then not even covered. And yes you can light it with a match no probs, easiest stuff to split in the world:thumbup1:

OR, buy an axe for £10 walk to your jobs locally, work for £60 a day including all food and a lift home. Thats £18k a year, still be eligable for family tax credits, get free dental, prescriptions and do some modeling for mens health magazine because you will be as ripped as van dame ever was:thumbup:

Call it £61 and you can have a new axe every fortnight! Can't beat a new bit of kit to spur you on!

Joking aside, when it comes to logs this is very often the competition we face.

I was talking to a bloke the other day who does a few logs ''on the side'', along with a bit of gardening etc. His missus works full time on ,19k a yr, he can earn up to 6 grand a year ''declared'' (:sneaky2:) before it affects their benefits. Free health care, glasses, prescriptions etc... The whole family managed to go on holiday to Turkey at half-term - more than we could manage.

Can't blame people for working the system, but it does grind my gears on occasion.:mad1:
