I looked at both of those but went in the end for a Kawasaki engined Stiga. It's a two stroke but cheaper than either of the 4 strokes. The 45cc Kawasaki engine is excellent. Vibration is very low compared to most 2 strokes and it's got stacks of power. It very rarely needs to be run at full throttle, even when cutting very heavy bramble with a three point shredder blade.

I don't find pre-mixing a chore but I must admit it would be nice to be able to start it while you're carrying it on the harness, but you can't. Even on the ground there's plenty of compression and it needs a strong pull.

Worth considering though if you want pro power and quality but at domestic price. Keep the Husky harness though because the Stiga one isn't that great.

I have an Einhell 4 stroke brush cutter and so far it has been faultless. It is a bit heavy and I find it difficult to get a good balance on the harness without overstretching my arms. It is just for home use but it seems sturdy enough to use commercially.

Dolmar ms-4300-4U or Makita em-4351-U 4-Stroke are the equivalent to the Husqvarna brushcutter you where comparing it too  @Saw-sick Steve

there smooth and quite powerful  too use plenty of torque for a small 4-strokes

I run a Honda trimmer with a GX35 and one with a GX25 engine, my stihl kombi is a km130. While beeing the  heaviest, the gx35 is the smoothest to run with nice torque. The gx25 for some reason, seems more stressed and could use a little more grunt from time to time, but tada - it's lighter. Both are so quite, it's tempting to keep the ear muffs in the garage.

The Stihl is terrrible loud and I don't want to use it longer than an hour because of the vibes it gives, but it has the most power and is by far the lightest. So it's got the most use as a blower. The Hondas start easier than the Stihl

I fitted the GX35 with a stihl kombi shaft, so I can use all the kombi attachments, which gives me the best of both worlds.

If I had to pick one only, it would be the GX35 with a shoulder strap or harnish.

how did you do the conversion was it worth it

Yes, it was worth it, the stihl attachments are imho the best ones out there, what I can't say about their or at least my km. My GX35 is like 15-20 years old now, runs wonderful, did the carb once.

For the conversion you just order the short shaft, that is mounted to the kombihead. It's just plug and play on the gx35. On YouTube you find a video about it.

Takes like 20 minutes to do.
