Two years ago I got my lad a plane, he nearly took someones head off in the park. It has spent more time broken than working! I'd love one myself but you need to be really coordinated to fly a dear one. Good Luck with the search.

How much you planning on spending?

If its like £80 then look at something like a blade mcx.

They do alot more than the £20 ones (although they are good fun) but are about as easy to fly as you can get.

If he's going to smash it to bits and get bored then I would only look at spending £20 at the most.

My boys are 7 and 5 and we got the little indoor polystiren ones last xmas, really got them into it but not sure i would spend much more just yet.

I have a petrol jobbie that i have never flown just because i am petrified of smashing it to pieces!

I will get it going one day Promise( when i have a new one to fly )

About 2 years ago, remote control helicopters were pretty hard to fly, but now the latest mini versions have a GYRO in them and they are easy to fly even for small kids. My nephew has this Remote Control Helicopter and he loves it. You can see a great video clip of teh RC Helicopter on that page. Happy Flying :001_smile:
