What's needed, if anything to keep Christmas trees fresh?

What I'm asking is, if someone was to buy a load of Christmas at the end of November how are they stored until Christmas. Obviously most would have been sold but some might not be sold until Christmas Eve.

Hi there, I do a lot of work on a Christmas tree farm and we have loads cut, just keep them outside, preferably in shade and out of strong winds and they'll be fine
