I think the WorkWare leaflet came with 'The Landscaper' magazine. The steps look almost identical to those sold by Jake Hobson at Niwaki. Jakes prices have come down a lot & I got what I regarded as a good deal by pre-ordering a set of 'all three legs adjustable' & picking up from him at Saltex. These tripod ladders are incredibly light & stable. Having adjustable front legs as well as the rear leg allows for safe work on hedges etc bounded by compound slopes.

The 'safe working height' is with feet two treads down from the top so you lean against the top two steps. I love them.

Are these really good?? They look like they'd be really unstable to me :confused1: Maybe its the one leg at the back thats putting me off, looks like it would wobble about alot, ill have to have a try of them tho as im in the market for some new steps :thumbup1:

If it helps guys i bought the biggest set of steps ever, the Hedge Master professional. They are wicked, i havent found a hedge (as yet) that i cannot do each foot/leg is extendable and adjustable so you are always level, there is a large platform to work from and there are guards at the top so you cant (well you could) fall off. The extension kit ib bought takes the platform upto 14 feet in height then with extendable trimmers your away!!

Down side are the feet are fragile as they are hard plastic but fully articulate. Oh and they are fairly costly but the engineering is really good.

The tripod ones just look unstable and i guess anything other than flat ground is a no no?
