Hi friends, I'm getting my first pickup for smaller jobs on the side, I'm stupidly new to buying trucks and I'm looking for something under 6k and single cab so I can cram more shit in,

Its not much money to play with so I'd love to here some of your more experienced views on what to look out for!

Oh fuck off ?

Bit the bullet and got one of those adjustable hitches, levels her out nice. Please excuse the state of the trailer, not enough hours in the day for the amount of projects I'm juggling!

For anything £6k or under, i’d recommend anything really, just try staying pre 56 reg to avoid DPF related issues. 2nd hand Pickup’s are in a strong market money wise at the min.

It seems a lot are going abroad possibly because of the exchange rate. That said I had n old tipper ten years back, apart from general running costs I spent nothing on it in 3 years, When I sold it two African fellas came over from London with a recovery truck all they wanted to do was check the v5 and vin matched. I can't remember for sure but I think it made £350 more than I paid for it.

Evening yolky! Yeah as you’ve said, and also they want the older stuff cos its basic mechanics, they can fix em at side of road using pretty much owt, from a dead cows leg for a leaf spring to a womans turban for a fan belt and the likes. So its pushed prices up on 2nd hand stuff and export market big time. I’ve fancied a crew cab hilux on a 04 ish reg for last 12 months or so, but for one with reasonable mileage, good body and good chassis , your looking at £6k+ [emoji33] one will turn up tho, and i will invest [emoji51]
