Using my Greenmech 130 earlier and a lot of vibrations started. The engine dampener does seem as though you can pull it up/down very easily, should it be like this? I can lift it up so much that I could probably pull the belts off.

Hi Spoons, there's not s lot of resistance to that damper normally and the best way to test it is to remove it and extend and compress it by hand.

If you have a vibration issue I'd be more inclined to check the flywheel and its bearings.

Ha! Good fix.

A few weeks back we spent an afternoon trying to work out why our newly replaced rotor bearings were clicking at 2 points on every rotation of the flywheel (forst st8) much glumness at the prospect of another strip down.

Then I spotted a tiny piece of wood under the bearing housing that was rubbing the grub screws on  every turn, flicked it out, smooth as silk.
