Noticed the blower has been a bit rattley lately and today stopped working. Took the pull start mechanism off and the crankshaft seems a bit wobbly [emoji33]

Is that a likely to be the big ends gone, or are there bearings that wear out?

If the crank is wobbly then its more likely to be the crank bearings . One side or both .  The big end may well be ok but not guaranteed .

You won't see the crank wobble with a damaged big end bearing but expect big knocking and loss of compression.

With worn crank bearings, the crank will wobble and is likely to scuff the plating off the bore if run for a while.
