Evening all,

 

Need a relatively large crane ram repaired in the north Kent area on real quick turnaround anyone recommend hydro places/ag mech that are good.

They made a replacement for the main lift ram on my FMV290 in 2012 for about 500 quid

It only needs a re seal so it’s a easy fix but most want it for 2-3 days.

Which is not an unreasonable time for a busy firm to schedule work. Why not just buy the seals and do it yourself as you say it's an easy job. I did mine on several occasions.

The Abom79 YouTube channel has some good videos on seal replacement (and most aspects of ram repair). One video is almost entirely about how to specify the correct two quid seal from a catalogue of millions.
