Steve’s XT works well , also I would try and get your hands on some armour prus for cordage .... if your on the wrench it’s pretty tempting to do bomb out descents , never burnt out AP but liros is very easy in one descent Ocean poly I’ve never got on with it either binds or slips.

I also had a problem with the knot sometimes getting stuck in my rope wrench because a VT is a long hitch is am XT shorter? Or do i just need a longer tether. I bought the isc rope wrench from honey brothers.

Its always going to be as long as your hitch cord is

Michoacán Hitch. A high performance hitch with very little setback. Depending on your climbing line and hitch cord a 26-28 inch E2E should work well. My go to hitch.

I think honeys do , or they sell some thing virtually identical.

Schwabisch knot. Unlike the distel, it is very easy to stop it from binding up. Only problem with it is sometimes the bottom of the knot gets stuck in whatever pulley you're using when tending slack. I also favour the michoacan hitch. They're all similar. I just find the distel a little too bindy. Hope this helps

I has a climb today with the michoacan hitch and that worked to best by far i just need to order some shorter hitch i and will be all set. Thanks for the help again.

Nice one Nathan. Although factory e2e's are neater I find just getting a couple of meters of hitch cord and figuring out the length that suits you and the knot your using best.
