I know it's hot at the minute, but what's wrong with the usual helmet mounted ear defs?
I will be using these for other things aswell as tree work. Woodworking in the workshop, riding the motorbike and hedgecutting! Just asking if anyone had experience with them.

Riding the motorbike and hedgecutting? Sounds a bit dangerous plus it will be very difficult to keep a good level. Should be quick though.

Anything to speed up production. Does anyone have a method statement for this?

thank you for this, I will make a trip into town sometime and have a chat with them. Im also in the market for a new set of headphones, but they have to be fairly streamlined to fit in the bike lid and still be comfortable. does adding those inserts change the shape/how far they stick out of your ear?

If anything I'd say they made my earphone fit more closely to my ears than when I use them with the supplied rubber fittings - I've never been able to get those to fit well and stay in the ear.
The original earphones I got were Sennheiser in-ear and Boots had never fitted to those before so they sent them away during the process to make sure the fit was a good one. Since then I've used them with lots of cheap replacement ear-phones and they almost all use the same fitting.
When you get them you could also request a set of plain ear plugs from the same mold.

Thanks Duncan. I also normally use the in ear sennheisers so sounds promising. and the fact i can get a plain set of ear plugs aswell is even better, I'll definitely be making a trip down to boots to have a chat with them this week.
