I have husky 560 which has been fine for 3 or 4 years , however now it's been running and switched off and laid on its side it struggles to start , seems like it floods , it's ok if it's left the right way up , anybody know how to sort this , thanks

I guess from what you say the tank vent is leaking.  On early saws there was a pipe that goes from the tank vent to the inlet manifold. If the vents leaked fuel goes straight into the pipe and directly into the cylinder via the manifold flooding the engine. This usually happened when the guy was refuelling as you fill the tank to the top and instantly pressurise the tank when you screw the cap on. The saw is obviously on its side at this point.

A new tank with vent pocket along with a pipe work modification kit sorted it. You will be able to sort yours with just the kit and is a cheap fix.

You remove the pipe from vent, replace the vent cut the pipe and fit a bung. Then fit a green vent cover to the tank vent and any fuel to goes to atmosphere.

This is was the cause of most hot start issues in the early days of these.

Dont forget you should be using the quarter throttle setting for starting even when warm. It’s always a good idea to prime it as well as you get cooler fuel circulating the system. They start every time then.
